Survivor Care

The Diocese cares for survivors of abuse perpetrated by its church workers in the following ways: offer of direct pastoral care and apology from the Bishop, process support, ongoing counselling support, financial care and assistance, and independent legal and financial advice.

The Diocese has a formal process for those who are seeking redress for abuse called Towards Restoration Care and Assistance Scheme. This process is voluntary and does not stop survivors from seeking civil compensation.
