Property Development Commission
The Property Development Commission is to assist Bishop-in-Council to be good stewards of God’s historic provision to the Diocese. As a Committee of Bishop-in-Council it will assist in assessing and prioritising the possible developments that have the potential to assist with the delivery of Bishop Stuart’s 3D-vision for the Diocese as outlined at Synod last year.
The development of Diocesan assets is an important element of the vision to generate new income streams for the Diocese. The missional purpose for these developments is to ensure the Diocese is in a position to meet financial obligations both now and into the future. This Commission will enable wise and effective decisions to be made concerning the land and capital entrusted to the Diocese.
The current membership of the Property Development Commission is as follows:
Ms Meg Brighton (Chair)
Mr Ian Morison
Mr Wayne Harris
Mr Trevor Ament
To date the Commission has undertaken a review of the property holdings of the Diocese with a number of opportunities being explored.
The Commission is in the process of developing development guidelines and processes that will assist in the evaluation of projects that may be undertaken.
