An Afternoon of Music, Hope & Compassion

The National Capital Orchestra joins with St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn for a special charity concert supporting people experiencing hardship across our region.

The National Capital Orchestra will present Echoes of Humanity on Saturday 12 September at 3pm in Llewellyn Hall, Australian National University, bringing together outstanding music and support for people experiencing hardship in our community. This is a rare opportunity to engage in thoughtful dialogue in a personal setting with one of today’s leading theological voices.

Presented in partnership with St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn, the charity concert will feature award winning international Polish pianist, Lucas Krupiński, performing Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2. The orchestra will then be joined by Artistic Director Louis Sharpe for a performance of Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 (“Titan”).

Musicians of the National Capital Orchestra are generously donating their time and talents, with proceeds from the concert supporting the work of St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn, which assists individuals and families experiencing hardship throughout the ACT and surrounding region.

Combining artistic excellence with community compassion, Echoes of Humanity offers concertgoers an opportunity to enjoy world-class music while contributing to a cause that makes a tangible difference in the lives of others.

This event is not an Anglican initiative but is shared as a community event supporting charitable work in the Canberra region.
