Canberra Hospital Chaplaincy
Anglican Chaplaincy offers pastoral and spiritual care to all patients, families and staff at our Canberra hospitals. This service is offered to all, regardless of faith or spiritual background. We also provide Anglican religious services and support.
Patients and their families can directly invite their Parish Clergy and/or Anglican Chaplains to visit them while in hospital. If you are not connected with a Parish, or are far from home, you can contact us directly to coordinate a visit. We will happily visit non-Anglicans.
Email: chaplaincy@anglicancg.org.au
Phone: (02) 6245 7101 and ask for the Chaplaincy Coordinator
Hospitals will also contact us for you at your request.
Canberra Hospital Contacts
All Canberra hospitals have Pastoral and Spiritual Care teams supporting their patients spiritual and religious needs.
You can ensure you receive the support you need by:
- Ensuring any religious affiliation is identified on hospital intake forms.
- Asking hospital staff to arrange a visit from the Pastoral Care team.
- Being clear if you need either a pastoral visit or a religious service. Some religious support may require arrangements for a Minister to visit the hospital, whereas pastoral care practitioners are usually based at the hospital.
