Agencies
Most agencies have already been actively implementing environmental initiatives to reduce their carbon footprint and improve energy and resource use efficiency. It is important to note that many of our agencies don’t own buildings and operate from leased premises, which has implications in direct control.
Through interactions with staff and clients there is opportunity to influence the climate action. There is already significant community involvement especially in disaster preparedness and/or response.
To meet our emissions reduction target of net zero by 2040, Agencies need to know what their current emissions are to objectively track and record the data, form individual plans, and monitor progress.
There is opportunity for greater collaboration to support, encourage and share resources.
