Christmas good friday and easter sunday. For Christians our citizenship is not really Australian it is in fact in heaven.

There is always darnel among the wheat, joy amid the sorrow. Trying to find the one perfect happy day does not seem realistic, since life is not like that!

I have been struggling with the arguments for and against changing the date and was unsure where I stand. I agree with what you say about the necessity of Australia Day being uncomfortable. Perhaps we can use it as an opportunity to reflect on what kind of nation we live in (the good, bad and ugly!) and what we hope and imagine it could be.
