At midday on 29 July the bell at St Michael and All Angels at Hall was tolled for twelve minutes. We joined churches around Australia in marking Earth Overshoot Day – the day that humanity is estimated to have used all the resources this year that can be renewed in a year, such as fish, forests, and water. We shared a liturgy of lament and thanks for the gifts of the earth.​
