But the local community quickly rose to the challenge and one very similar to the one in your picture was constructed in the field some 30 yards from the church. Next weekend the Bishop was visiting. It was around the time that they decided to go ahead with the spire for Goulburn cathedral – and somehow I mentioned our own small building initiative. “I hope you got a faculty for it?” ,he asked. My heart sunk – but fortunately the dunny remained and he duly christened it the next morning!
