PARISH OF MIDLAND, DIOCESE OF PERTH, WA
WANTED – Rector WITH VISION
The City of Midland straddles the main highway leading into Perth from the East, and is a strongly developing area. Together with Fremantle and Joondalup, Midland is a regional centre within Perth, and the Parish of Midland has strategic importance within the Diocese of Perth.
Are you a nurturing priest looking for a welcoming, eclectic and active church congregation to lead? Then the Anglican Parish of Midland is seeking someone like you to serve full-time, to guide a church that encourages all to become more Christ-like. Most parishioners live outside parish boundaries but choose to worship here because they truly value the sense of inclusion, community and mission.
The Church of the Ascension, established 120 years ago, is seeking to meet the challenges of expansion. Sunday worship focuses on the Parish Church, and Gidgegannup Community Church which is a joint Anglican-UCA venture. An effective weekly emergency food relief program is run from the church, supported by other Deanery parishes.
There is scope for development of the facilities. There is a well-established pattern of lay participation and leadership, and with strong and creative clergy leadership the parish has significant potential for innovation and growth.
