Reverend Stephen Davis was commissioned as the new Rector of Holbrook on 17 November.
Stephen originally studied at St Mark’s National Theological Centre in the 1990s. As a student he was associated with St Paul’s in Manuka. He then served at St Peter’s in Weston, where he became a Deacon.
Throughout the ordination process Stephen was a candidate for Bathurst Diocese and following ordination returned to Holy Trinity in Dubbo, where he served for five years.
From there he went to be Rector of West Dubbo, then to Bellingen in the Grafton Diocese, Finley in the Riverina Diocese, and is now returning to Holbrook in the Canberra & Goulburn Diocese.
Stephen is married to Leeola and they have four children and four grandchildren. He is a mad enthusiast of both modern and old motorcycles. Leeola is a keen quilter.
Leeola grew up near Moree and has previously worked a registered nurse. Stephen grew up near Coonabarabran and was originally an automotive mechanical engineer. They are self-confessed country people.
They both love people and love the Lord and try to join the two together.
