Smiggin Holes in the Kosciuszko National Park, Perisher Valley, Snowy Mountains
The Diocese also has funds for nine couples to go for a weekend away in the Snowy Mountains. All meals and accommodation provided. Each day will start with a devotion led by James and Janice Ackland. We will then pass over your gift, which is a picnic basket full of yummies. There will be some other treats and surprises throughout the weekend. You can choose how to spend your weekend; for example, have a romantic picnic, explore cafes and nearby towns, talk to other couples, go on beautiful drives and/or enjoy bushwalking around the lake or mountains and talking together as a couple.
Dates of weekend away: 6pm 25th-noon 27th February 2022.
Accommodation: Southern Cross Alpine Lodge at Smiggin Holes in the Kosciuszko National Park (sorry, the Lodge has stairs)
What to bring: Bedsheets, pillow slips, towels and toiletries. Also, the weather might be cold, with a very slight chance of snow in February. So please bring jackets etc. You will need to pay a small fee to enter the National Park.
A huge thank you to the wonderful Mother’s Union and the Bishop’s Office for putting romantic picnic baskets full of yummy surprises together for each of us. You are our blessing.
Caterers: Many, many thanks to Margie Heath and Bishop Mark Short for joining me in cooking for the weekend. Breakfasts, picinic baskets and dinners provided.
