On Saturday 11th May Archdeacon David Ruthven dedicated the new CC’s Ministry Centre at Cootamundra Anglican church.
It was a special day as Archdeacon David began CC’s when he was the Rector here about 10 years ago. The new refurbished centre has begun to build upon that original vision.
We are keen to use our new space as a hub for our church and local community to facilitate pastoral care and fellowship. We are also excited with a beautiful café-style space in which to share the gospel, while enjoying great coffee. It’s an inviting area with new and pre-loved Christian books for sale.
We plan to use the ministry centre to train people in how to share their story and invite those that want to hear more about the Christian faith to a Discovery group in the café. We have people praying specifically for God to bring people who are open to hear the Good news about Jesus.
On Thursday and Friday each week CC’s offers a light meal, milkshakes, coffee and great scones. We often have people come who are lonely and who just want to chat.
When CC’s opened 10 years go it was an Op Shop in our old Sunday school rooms. We are thankful for the partnership that we had with Anglicare and for the great training and resources they provided.
We have now taken the Op out of the shop and remodelled to make it a modern space to connect with the community.
